**Ingredients:**

- 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice (linguine, spaghetti, or fettuccine work well)

- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 lemon, zest and juice

- 1/4 cup (60ml) chicken or vegetable broth

- Salt and black pepper, to taste

- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


**Instructions:**


1. **Cook the Pasta:**

   - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

   - Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

   - Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup (120ml) of the pasta water.


2. **Prepare the Shrimp:**

   - In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

   - Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

   - Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

   - Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

   - Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
